About us
Water For People in Uganda
Water For People started working in Uganda in 2008. We began our work by learning about the population’s water and sanitation needs and building relationships with the local government, private sector, and local organizations.
Together with local partners, Water For People now supports water and/or sanitation business initiatives in six districts in Uganda: Kamwenge, Kampala, Kitgum, Pallisa, and Kole.

A world where every person has access to reliable and safe water and sanitation services.
Our Mission
Promote the development of high-quality drinking water and sanitation services, accessible to all, and sustained by strong communities, businesses, and governments.
Global Presence
Beyond Uganda, Water For People has teams in nine other countries: Bolivia, Guatemala, Honduras, Peru, India, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, and the US.
Where We Work
Our work spans Everyone Forever Districts, where we make long-term commitments to lasting access to water and sanitation; Scale Areas, where we extend our impact through technical expertise and systems strengthening; and Market Areas, where we support sustainable businesses providing affordable WASH products and services.
Across five Regional Water Supply and Sanitation Centers (RWSCs), we also strengthen regional service delivery. Together, these efforts help build sustainable systems that ensure communities across Uganda can access reliable water and sanitation services.
