WE BELIEVE IN A WORLD WHERE EVERYONE HAS SAFE DRINKING WATER, FOREVER
Water For People Uganda began its work in 2008, with learning about the population’s water and sanitation needs and building relationships with the government, private sector, and local development organizations.
Together with local partners, Water For People now supports water and/or sanitation business initiatives in six districts in Uganda: Kamwenge, Luuka, Kampala, Kitgum, Pallisa, and Kole.
THIS IS EVERYONE FOREVER
Our sustainable approach ensures that reliable and lasting water and sanitation services are brought to every family, school, and health clinic in the districts where we work. We partner with local governments, businesses, and individuals, providing the training, tools, and support they need to bring clean water and sanitation systems to their own communities. Then we ensure they have the resources and knowledge they need to maintain those systems for generations to come.
We call this impact model Everyone Forever.

Every month, millions of girls across Uganda face challenges in managing their periods with dignity due to inadequate facilities, stigma, and silence. As we mark Menstrual Hygiene Day, Water For People Uganda highlights the transformative power of inclusive sanitation infrastructure — from girl-friendly toilets to incinerators — and the importance of involving both girls and boys in building a #PeriodFriendlyWorld.
